Lynyrd Skynyrd is a legendary southern rock band. They formed in 1964 and nearly 10 years later they released their debut album, Pronounced Leh-nerd Skin-nerd. They were selling out shows all across the country. Then in 1977 tragedy struck the band when their plane crashed in Mississippi. Ronnie Van Zant and Steve Gaines died in the plane crash. The band pushed on with Ronnie Van Zant's brother Johnny Van Zant. Since 1987 they have been touring. Fans have flocked to their shows to hear songs like Free Bird, Sweet Home Alabama, That Smell and many more.
